I spent a lot of time this weekend working on the baby quilt for Nick - it was supposed to be a gift when he was born, but we just celebrated his first birthday! I'm doing a double Irish chain, with fairly small blocks so you can see the pattern emerge even though it isn't a large quilt. The small blocks are 1.25" finished, and it feels like I'm constantly starting, stopping, and lining up seams. I've got all the 25-patch blocks done now, and all the setting blocks, so I just have to assemble them now. However, this will be hand-quilted, so it will be a while before it's done!
