I made this wallhanging for the Quilt Guild's silent auction. It was a part of the quilt show that was held last June. Finished size was about 12" x 12".
The Butterfly itself was quilted with a darker, thicker purple thread, to try to help it stand out. The rest of the quilting was a pale purple, which was just about the color of the fabric, and blended nicely.
I added a small sleeve on the back, and off it went to be auctioned. Of course, it didn't get anywhere near what we put on it for a value, but the woman who purchased it was very pleased and will enjoy having it so I can't be too upset! Now, DD would like me to make one for her...
